Day Care
As any dog owner would agree, dogs are not very different from people and require many of the same simple things that we do– food, shelter, love, affection, attention, exercise and social interactions with other dogs. Most of us are very good about providing the first five of these basic elements. The last two however are a different story. Our busy lives often get in the way of providing proper exercise and socialization for one of our most faithful companion.
-Dog owners who work long hours and feel guilty leaving their dog at home - drop them at the Just Like Home on your way to work, let us tire them out, pick them up on your way home.
•Dog owners who travel on a regular basis; let us be your pet's home away from home alternative to petsitters, kennels or vets.
•Having work done to the house? Workmen in and out? We can make your life easier. House for sale? Realtors in and out? Company coming? Get the dog out of the house for the day and bring them to socialize and exercise.
•Taking a day trip or shopping? Drop off on your way out or even the night before and we will have them happy and tired when you return.
•Perfect for dogs who have separation anxiety, behavior problems such as chewing or barking. Great for socializing puppies or just great exercise for the dog who does not have enough at home. Dogs are pack animals by nature, they enjoy the company of other canines. Socialization with other dogs as well as new people is an important part of having a well behaved pet.
Boarding
As much as we would like to take our pets with us wherever we go, the sad truth is that often we simply cannot do so. Either the flights are too long, we do not want to put the animal through this or they do not allow pets or it is simply cost prohibitive. Our primary motivation is to provide a fun and safe place for your pets while allowing you to travel knowing your pet is in good hands with us. Our overnight dogs participate in our funfilled day care activities.

The Owner
Since I can remember, I always wanted to be around dogs. I have three dogs of my own, two Rotweillers and a maltese. I grew up with dogs and always dreamed of having my own Doggy Day Care where I can spend my whole day enjoying their company. With the help of my Co-owner, Olga (MOMMY, COULDNT DO IT WITHOUT YOU), I have designed my shop small and personal, ensuring quality care by me, a place where I can feel totally comfortable leaving my babies.

Problem Child? How a Dog Day Care can Save Your House!
We've all had one or know someone who has, that problem dog that tears everything up while you are away at work or out for a night on the town. I've personally had two, an American Eskimo that loved to tear up walls and carpet when it was storming and a Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix that enjoyed long days digging in the yard and chewing on our deck. We tried Bitter Apple which normally works great for small problems. People suggested Vaseline and cayenne pepper which sounded harsh at first but after 4 dog door replacements we were happy to give it a shot. All ended up just being extra seasoning for our freaked out/bored babies. My wife and I talked about pet sitting & day care and checked with friends to see if anyone else had used them, normally when we did we were laughed at. Then we looked at the price and were scared. In the end, we tried it anyway. The first time we dropped them off we were leery, when we saw video of their day and took our worn out puppies home... we were true believers!
We started taking our puppies on Tuesdays and Thursdays figuring Mondays they would have had enough action from the weekend and hoping that Wednesday and Friday they would be worn out from the previous day's activities, it worked for us. It's been over a year now and we have not had to replace a dog door since. Well... except after we added a new larger dog in the family that could not fit through the other one. We've also kept a dog sitter on call just in case our dog day care is booked for the day we want to take them. This is also a great way to get energy out.
Dog Day Care has done wonders for socializing our "kids" with other "kids" and have kept them from tearing up our house when we're gone. To see if dog day care or dog sitter is right for you, just look at your best friend and think, "Wouldn't they be happier with companionship all day long? How much money are they costing me in damage? Would it be nice to sleep late? And work out what works for your budget and best friend. Visit our dog sitter or dog day care section to find someone near you.
